Jennifer Dohrn, Assistant Professor of Nursing at the Columbia University Medical Center and Director of the Office of Global Initiative and its WHO Collaborating Center for Advanced Practice Nursing
Dr. Dohrn will look at the World Health Organization’s call for Universal Health Coverage in a framework of human rights and the global community’s response to implement this through expanding human resources for health. With nurses and midwives providing the majority of health care in most countries, Dr. Dohrn will present innovative examples at the policy, governance, education, clinical care, and research levels where nursing and midwives are agents of change for Universal Health Coverage.
