تحلم مجموعة لافتة من الفتيات الأفغانيات بتمثيل بلدهن في رياضة الملاكمة في دورة الألعاب الأولمبية لعام 2012. ينطلقن في رحلة تملؤها التحولات على الصعيدين الشخصي والسياسي. حاز الفيلم جائزة أفضل فيلم وثائقي في مهرجان Viewfinders السينمائي الدولي للشباب في هاليفاكس وجائزة مؤسسة Inspirit للتعددية في هوت دوكس، إضافة إلى التنويه الشرفي لجائزة كولن لو في مهرجان دوكسا للفيلم الوثائقي في فانكوفر. كما ترشح الفيلم لجائزة أفضل فيلم وثائقي قصير في حفل توزيع جوائز الشاشة الكندية الأول وعرض في نيودلهي في مهرجان بناة السلام السينمائي الدولي
A remarkable group of young Afghan women dream of representing their country as boxers at the 2012 Olympics, embarking on a journey of both personal and political transformation.
“The Boxing Girls of Kabul” has received Best Documentary Award at the Viewfinders International Film Festival for Youth in Halifax, the Inspirit Foundation Pluralism Prize at Hot Docs as well as an Honorable Mention for the Colin Low Award at the DOXA Documentary Film Festival in Vancouver. The film was also nominated for Best Short Documentary at the 1st Canadian Screen Awards and was screened in New Delhi at the Peace Builders International Film Festival
